Cougar Soccer Club

Cougar Soccer Club, a local community soccer program serving Maplewood and South Orange, NJ. The club has teams of boys and girls ranging in age from 3-19 years of age. The club promotes youth soccer that is geared for the player who wants to learn, train and play at the very highest levels of competition. Our goal is to build a love for the game, develop skills, and be prepared for high school soccer – all while having fun in a supportive environment that puts players first.

We Are

Cougar Soccer Club, a local community soccer program serving Maplewood and South Orange, NJ. The club has teams of boys and girls ranging in age from 3-19 years of age. The club promotes youth soccer that is geared for the player who wants to learn, train and play at the very highest levels of competition. Today we have over 300 players on 25 Travel teams, and over 300 kids in the Academy program.

Academy - AGES 4 THROUGH 8

Our Academy program consists of Mini-Kickers, Kickers, and Academy teams. The programs are open to all local boys and girls from ages 3 to 8. These co-ed teams practice and play exclusively in Maplewood and South Orange only. This is a fun, developmental program that teaches basic fundamentals of soccer with progressive growth toward playing on our Travel teams. These fun, introductory programs allow children to develop their motor skills, build self-confidence and social skills, as well as an understanding of the game. Travel - ages 8 and older

The Cougar Travel soccer teams are talent specific teams for boys and girls ages 8-19, where players must tryout and be accepted to the program each year. Tryouts are held in the Spring and the program is open to all residents of Maplewood and South Orange, NJ. The Travel program is geared to players who wish to make a higher commitment to their personal soccer development and level of competition. Playing for a Travel team is an ANNUAL commitment to team practices throughout Fall, Winter and Spring, and league games in Fall and Spring. Travel (U9+) – Cougar Soccer Club
